On May 3rd, Alan Seidman was recognized for his outstanding contributions to the Orange County community and business acumen. The Executive Director of the Construction Contractors Association was awarded the 2018 Ottaway Medal at a dinner held in his honor in New Windsor, New York. Over 300 people, including prominent business, community and political leaders, came out to honor Alan and support the mission of the Orange County Citizens Foundation.
In its 24th year, the Orange County Citizens Foundation awards the Ottaway Medal to an individual that has contributed significantly to improving the quality of life in Orange County and who exemplifies exceptional leadership and commitment to the community.
A lifelong resident and household name in Orange County, Seidman is a truly admirable leader in the region. A former Chairman of Orange County Legislature, Seidman serves on the boards of many important local organizations such as the National Purple Heart Hall of Honor, Pattern for Progress and Kol Yisrael, to name a few. Furthermore, Seidman continues to make a long-lasting impact on the community by utilizing his matchless expertise in business ownership and he actively works to foster a strong and resilient economy in Orange County.
